Class Description: This class is for beginner knitting. Whether you’ve never knitted or need a review on basic knitting skills. First project is your choice of scarf or dishcloth. Learn to cast on, the knit stitch, and bind off.

Diana's Drop-In Knit Fix

Class Description: Need help with your project? Diana is here to help Saturday morning 9:30-11:30. Bring in your UFO's (unfinished objects). Diana can help figure out where you left off and get you on your way to finishing it. Or she can help you start a new project.

Spinning and Knitting Workshops with Mariepaule

Class Description: Knitting classes - learn to knit or start a project with Mariepaule. Learn the art of spinning in our new drop spindle and spinning wheel workshops with Mariepaule. You will be making your own beautiful yarn in no time! Spindle spinning is an ancient craft which is portable, fun, and inspring. Learn about the different drop spindles and fiber types, how to hold and draft the fibers for spinning, add fiber as you spin, store the newly spun yarn on the spindle, how to ply the yarn and set it for its final use. Practice spinning on a spinning wheel, and try new techniques.
Cost: $10/hour class

Brioche Scarf or Cowl
Sunday, May 26th 1:00 - 3:00pm
Instructor: Anne Ulanov
Class Description: 2-color brioche ribbing is great fun! It makes a lovely soft "squishy" fabric with two distrinctly different sides. There's a stained-glass effect with each side peeking through to the other. You're working on two sides at once so you can process each row twice, once with each color (really not confusing once you do it!). Note: This is a first-level class so we'll work on a scarf or cowl without decreases or increases; future classes will introduce more complex designs and color combinations.

Skill Level - Basic knitting skills
Things you'll need: Yarn - two yarns that contrast in a way you like. Best effect when the colors differ but complement each other. For learning, high contrast is recommended. Stop by prior to the class to make yarn choices so that you're ready for class on Sunday.

Two Color Double Knit Cowl
Saturday, June 8th, 12:30 - 2:30
Instructor: Diana
Class Description: Learn how to cast on with two colors and make a closed tube with one color on each side. Then learn how to include a simple pattern with the reverse colors on each side. Choice of two patterns.

Needle Felting Workshops
Third Saturday every month - June 15th, July 20th, August 17th 1:00 - 3:00pm or 1:00 - 4:00pm

Class Description: You may have seen Arturo's creations in the shop - now's your chance to learn how to make your own. He'll teach you how. Participants will learn 3D felting technique for scutpting animals, vegetable or fruits using a variety of natural color wol to achieve a realistic look. Bring a picture of your pet or anyting else you wish to model. Have some fun felting!
Cost: $20 class fee for 2 hour workshop, $30 fee for 3 hour workshop, $12.00 cost of roving (materials purchased separately)

Two at a Time Socks - Toe up (on one circular needle)
Sunday, June 2nd 1:00-3:00pm, June 23rd, 1:00 - 3:00pm, and July 7th class (just an hour) for stretchy bind off cuff, 11am - 12noon

Class Description: Do you have second sock syndrome? Learn to knit socks two at a time from the toe up on one needle. Learn the magic loop method to cast on, how to measure and make a pair of socks that fit perfect.
